Cheers fellas, it came out just as described
It hasnt solved the problem though! I drove the car with the clocks out so i could see the cable and the core inside turning when the car was moving and it spins around freely. Any ideas why the speedo needle is bouncing around all over the place? The car has been in a garage for some time but was fine before that.
