Hi guys and gals

Got a problem with my dad's computer, which needs to be fixed before he gets home tomorrow

I had trouble with the moniter on my computer, so i used my dad's moniter to test it, and it is now ok. I have plugged my dad's moniter back into his computer, and when i turn the machine on, the orange light goes green on the moniter as usual, it does the load up screens, it shows the windows xp logo with the blue scrolling bar underneath it, then the moniter goes back to standby, and the green light goes back to orange.

I have tried a different moniter on the computer, and exactly the same is happening.

Anyone know what could be wrong with it?
