Same problem with mine, I replaced the Spark Plugs,Distributor Cap, rotor arm, HT lead and the coil.

It turned out to be the coil, I bought a Group A coil from Motorsport Developements, best £40 I have spent. Enormous difference, only wish I had done it sooner.
