education and the ability to make infomed decisions are always welcome IMO.
Some people will take the time to read, some won't, some will claim they don't understand a word of it, and some will argue til they are blue in the face - but having the information is always better than not, offering the opportunity to learn for those that want to..
So from me - YES!
unfortunately there will never be a single simple answer to "which is best", but the opportunity to make an informed decision (or even 'guess' ) is better than blindly taking what your mate says in the pub as gospel.
