hmmm, i haven't got another dvd player other than my sony 725 from way back when dvd players first came out
it does have everything you want in a dvd player (inclusing 6 ch surround and digital thingies in the back) but cost a bomb back in the day (i think i bougt it in 2000) and, to be honest it's reserved for the r1 flicks that you can slot in, turn the sound up and watch on a 42" screen (like transformers )

as to the point of it not working on another machine, they only want one and with the dvd's you can stick them onto a computer and swap them about that way anyway

i can#'t see the problem there
