Just Rick said his parents are Polish but his mother was born here, just wondered if that made her British of nationality rather than Polish.

If you go on holiday and give birth in Spain that makes your baby Spanish? Or only if you register the birth there? Just that Brits are typically white etc then when other nationalities settle here and give birth, for instance a Chinese family the offspring is British even though does look like the typical English person (like saying a duck was born in a stable so its a horse?!) obviously thats why some British are referred to 'of Asian origin' etc, going a bit off topic... what in my tea today!
