This is why i always buy(especially nowa days) a system thats fast enough without overclocking.
For example i have a Dual core AMD 4200 which i got almost a year ago, and a year ago this was an extremely fast processor and would beat most processors back then, and now a year on ok it will get beat by a fair few Intel processors BUT its still quick enough for everyday tasks and also i can still play the top games at playable speeds on max settings(pretty much most games)
