What do you mean, the cam sensor? I have never had a working cam sensor on my engine so the injectors have been and are being controlled by batch firing. By giving the ECU a cam position sensor you can use sequential firing which gives you greater control on the low down stuff, cold start, warm up and idle etc. There would be very little difference in terms of peak power.

All it will do is run and drive even smoother with better fuel economy, start nicer and open up other ECU features

ah i didnt realise you never had 1 before,
so i presume ive been running seq firing from day 1 as my low down drive is perfect & starts on the button even in cold mornings without the IDCV (as mine is now used for als)
