I have a netgear router dg834n linked up to my packard bell machine, this all works fine, the only problem is when i'm on wireless with my laptop [advent].

Some websites it will work others just take ages and ages to load, and normally it goes into hibanation before the page loads. Simple stuff like google, passionford just will not load. Ebay, autotrader, microsoft all work fine.

I've tried IE and firefox and it's the same. Both machines are i.e.7 xp home with the most recent updates from windows update site.

i've done a speedtest.net on the desktop and that came back as 1850kb download and 240 upload, but the website won't even load on the laptop.

any ideas?
