Has anyone had this happen?

2 of the fuses for my headlights have melted (but still work) so for some reason they are getting hot.
Along with this when i turn on full beam the drivers side comes on dim but the passenger side does nothing, same thing happens if i just flash them.
Normal driving lights work fine, just when i turn full beam on.

I've done the obviuos, change the bulbs and relays but still the same.
I've also ran a earth wire from the battery and tried it on both the headlight earth terminals (in case of bad earth probs) but no joy.
But if I run a wire from the drivers full beam live to the passenger full beam terminal then it comes on nice and bright as it should! (drivers remains dim)

Any ideas welcome!
