Hi Folks,
I have a recurring problem with the immobiliser. It will activate first thing when trying to start and also whilst driving at random. I lose ignition and starter until it allows starting again usually after several turns of the ignition key from off to start. I've looked for the immobiliser where the Haynes manual states (Under the centre console) but its not there. Anyone any idea where it is hidden on the Mk2 Mondeo. Mine is a '97 model 5door.
Fords want more than the value of the car to investigate and fix it. The last journey on the M11 had it activate whilst passing a load of trucks. Down to 25mph before it started again, very scary!! so its off the road now until a solution is found. Hopefully someone here can assist.
