http://192.168.0.1 or whichever the manual tell's you to open, then setup the wireless network, and it should be as simple as that really
You do not need to call BT to open ports as these are within your control on the router.
When configuring the router it should be done hard wired via the Ethernet connections... routers which allow remote or wireless access configuration have security issues which need to be taken into consideration
