You cant possibly measure the power at the flywheel if you have a gearbox between you and it, so no, all you can do is guess what it might be based on how much of it gets to the wheels and how much you think it lost getting there.
so, with that in mind, could you unbolt the gearbox and put something else in there or does it need to be in an actual dyno thingy all bolted up and stuff?

i'm just trying to figure out if you oculd simply just unbolt the starter and stick something into the hole that would do the same sort of job (press the clutch and away you go type of thing)
