Yes I may have bid on a laptop based on a description, but I will only pay if the item matches the description. The only way I can ensure this is by viewing the item before money is exchanged.

Thats the way I use ebay, otherwise if you play it your way, you stand to lose money because there's a lot of twats out there who will rip you off selling products which are not as described!!
