Default Quick Ebay Q? UPDATED [Now its Fraud]

Just had an email off a guy I sold my old headunit to saying he's had it fitted and its not working. He's said he's returning it to me and wants the full amount refunding. Fine, I have no problem with that. What I want to know is, is it worth me taking the unit somewhere and having it tested first when I get it back to ensure it is buggered and he's not pulling a fast one, or do I just refund the money to him. If it is working, should I then tell him and post it back to him. I don't have a car now, so its no good to me.

Bit of a pain TBH, as it worked fine for me for 12 months in the car and seems odd now its broken.

Thanks

Matt
