Lets be realistic, being a trafic copper is all about being able to drive how you want where you want, I bet they've all done it at one time or another ( I know I would of )

I'm not saying its OK but just looking at it with a bit more realism, I think the conviction is just for the general public, so they can say in the end he was convicted for it and that more or less ends the argument the public has. Although he'll probably get a slap on the wrist, I wouldnt expect them to take him off traffic duty, to much money wasted training him.
