Default Escort mk 5b xr3i project updated 18.11.06

Hi again peeps new project this time and hopefully this will last longer than my white mk 5 lol,

Right here goes the car as i bought it,

Right this is where things get slightly interesting and ugly picture wise as i put the focus rims on ebay and dropped my car on my spare mk5 rs2000 wheels which were advertised also,

So guy phones me on the day wheels ended (friday) and said he'd fetch the wheels on monday nice i thought then half hour later a guy calls and you guessed it wanted to fetch the rs2000 wheels on monday the same day as the focus rims were going,

Now this is where it gets a little ugly as i had 2 choices 1 leave the car in the garage on bricks or hope one of the lads had some wheels kicking about for a panic buy,

So as look had it my mate had some mille miglias for sale so these were bought as they looked (SLIGHTLY) better than the first option note the slightly though, Here goes,

Now just 4 days later enough was enough and some 16 inch fox evo 3's came up for grabs at the right price wrapped in 4 brand new 205/45/16 avon zv3's but with a crap white paint job although not noticeable untill looking close up so refurbing these are on my to do list aswell pics below,

So this is how she looks at the min but over the last few weeks i've stripped the seats and carpet out chissled all the bitumen up and wire brushed the whole boot area up and underneath the back seats and all the floor pans up to bare metal,

I've already painted the boot area up and where the rear seats sit and i've already fitted the boot area back up as i wasn't going to do a resto this time but with some encouragement from a few fellow pf'ers here i am again,

The floor pans are still bare metal as the previous owner jacked the car up on the sills and floor on both sides all the way up the car

The welding needed as a result of this will be done on monday but i'll take pics of my progress so far tomorrow and as you will see the rear seat area is already painted up and the floor pans are pretty much bare metal all over so you'll get a fairly good before and after effect,

Hope this will be interesting enough for you all and good reading for you and now i'm out of work again there should be some regular updates of all shapes and sizes although larger updates will be as and when funds allow,

More pics to follow of the inside tomorrow and a bigger update mid week when i get the car back from my mate / welder,

cheers, Grant
