Obviously Kim Jong-il is behind it all



On a serious note, I think the Isralis were just waiting for an excuse to do this, knowing that America wasn't going to make much of a fuss any more, like they would have in the Clinton era.

Since 9/11 and the voting in of a military organisation in Palestine, I don't think the Americans have any qualms whatsover in letting Israel do what they want - they probably think 'at least it saves us a job in the future'.

Arab countries who don't make friends with Israel and America, are basically shooting themselves in the foot. I firmly believe the Palestinians/Syrians would have most of their land back and be quite prosperous and fair nations, if they just forgot the past and gave up on the notion of biblical law, and threw the militants out. But unfortunately due to the regimes such as the ones they have, there will always be war - anyone who has seen or read 1984 may understand that such regimes need war just to be able to stay in power, but they can't be seen to wage war directly, so just fund and harbour other groups instead.

Just like Iranians are brainwashed into believing America is the enemy. Totally insane. Imagine if Americans were brainwashed into believeing Iran was the enemy - Iran would not even exist anymore. The regime does it to stop the people taking a closer look at what their own leaders do.

I know many Iranian people - they all have stories to tell of how shitty the regime is. For example, someone who plays for the national team may go to the olympics, and unfortunately have to play against America. If they lose, they face a week in jail upon return to Iran. An Iranian friend of mine once said 'they are very good at killing people' - and he was talking about your everyday policeman and local goings on, just everyday life with the Iranian regime.

Thank goodness we all live in civilised countries, even if they are slowly going to the dogs!
