Look at the past, Israel is more than capable of kicking the entire Middle Easts ass all on its own, like it did in 1967 and 1973, even more capable now as it learnt from its mistakes.
Best fighting force for its size in the world.
Nobodys a winner in their wars TBH. Some Arabs hate the Israilis and wont ever stop attacking them till they didnt exist, even after theyve gave back parts of Lebanon etc they took in the 1973 war (which they didnt start anyhow), as the entire country of Israel is made from bits of their own countries taken from them by the Allies after WW2 for somewhere for the Jews to live.
Hezbollah attack Isreal, innocent people die. They wont ever stop doing this, as above.
Isreal attack back, and its impossible to do so without innocent people dying, not least as Hezbollah are all over the citys in Lebanon, and part of the goverment.
Innocent Lebanese people die, so Hezbollah carry on, and so on and so forth.
If you could convince Hezbollah (and similar folk) to stop attacking Israel completly and everyone go back to WW2 spec borders, then it could all stop, but the chances of that is almost zero.
Only way thatd stop is if Hezbollah was as good as destroyed, and thatd mean carnage, and not stop revenge attacks in general.
That may calm things down after a LOT of killing (so not ideal at all), but then that may anger the other countries enough to start another war with Isreal.
I think Isreal would be totally happy with their original borders if there was no attacks, and all the Arab countries might not be too happy, but cause there wouldnt be a war, theyd live with it.
BUT without Isreal occupying the whole of Lebanon its unlikely that there would be no attacks, and if they did that the other Arab countries would be fucked off, so you cant win.
It will NEVER totally stop over there IMO unless either Isreal totally mullers the entire middle east, or Israel gets totally destoyed themselfs.
And realisticly, neither will happen. So this stuff will happen for ever.
This same stuff has been happening on varying scales since the end of WW2.
(Obv USA isnt massivley unhappy about it all, as it means they have a fighting partner out there, but dont be so stupid as to think its down to the USA, but they wont do much to stop it, as its to their advantage)
