q plate legit is better in a way,but like someone above said, its really hard to insure a ringer.lots of companys wont touch them, and it cost me £300 more than an original plate!!!!!!!ive been there, done that also WOULD YOU BUY A Q PLATE??????????i know i wouldnt these days....

you could cut the floor pan out completely, replace it with a patern part, and not get it re stamped. (in fact,i shouldnt really say this, but MACHINE MART actually sell the stamping kit if you wanted to make it look 100%).i know this because my brother in law used to work there, and he had loads of dodgy looking people buying them,he realised what they were doin with the kits, and tryed stamping them into a bit of metal lying about in work.he took the stamped bit out to his car to cross check it with the vin numbers and he said it was the exact font, and you would never know............. that way nothing looks dodgy, and people would just look at it as though the original was rotten
as for the struts,if you measure up perfectly, and the mk3 is really that mint, then why not cut the strut tops of,do the same to a mk4,and put mk4's onto the mk3?????????loads of seamsealer round the welds, fresh paint, and bobs your uncle.NOW this IS technically ringing, but as someone above said,if you are the owner of both, and youve SCRAPED the donor sheels id,and scraped the car you've taken the bits off,i cant see why theres any harm in doing this......oice only tend to look at this sort of thing if there is TWO cars with the same id, or cars with different age bits and bobs and nothing matches up................YOURS WILL if you change strut tops and keep quiet.
I am not saying everyone should do this thing, but unfortunatly, there are probably loads of us out there, who are driving around in dodgy cars and dont even know it because its HPI clear.im sorry but hpi aint worth shit.
how many of you have had accidents, and not gone through insurance now hows that gonna show up on a hpi test?????my point exactly
