Default Options, Options, Options.......

I've been doing a few insurance quotes and being a new rider, the quotes are sky high so what do i do.........

1) Do a Direct Access test and have a full licence but keep my self on a 125cc bike ?

2) Do a A1 light licence (Restricted to less that 33bhp), get a 125cc, drive that around for 2 years, licence automatically goes to a full A1 licence and i will have 2 years of experience and hopefully 2 years NCB ?

3) Do a Direct Access test and have a full licence and get a bike over 125cc ?

If i do do a DAS.... Whats a good 1st bike to get ? One that i won't kill myself on and one that won't empty my wallet (Insurance)....
