a month ago I had starter motor problems and the car was retired for a bit, anyway tuner came to tow the car to fix the starter motor. I had not power even for the ign lights to come on so I thought I would need to towed all the way. Anyway my tuner said just put it in 3rd and it will start.

I always thought you needed some power to the alternator to charge.

eg I thought they had 2 eletro magnet coils so one would need to have power.
