I've been trying to do this for over a year now and can't figure it out

My set up is very similar - one PC connected with network cable to router, and another PC connected to the router also with network cable.

The first PC has the printer connected to it by USB, but the problem I have is I can't make my PC upstairs "see" this printer in order to print to it!

I have tried setting up the home network, and installing a "network printer" option, but my PC's never see each other and my PC never "sees" the printer

I think I need a network printer server or something.... I dunno. Someone said you would probably need to connect the router to the PC via USB, then run cross over cable from one PC's network port to the other PC in order to get them on the same line or something....

I gave up after about a year of trying lol....
