Got a new clutch fitted this weekend

Its an AP kit with heavy duty cover and organic plate

The clutch works fine apart from a funny noise when i lift my foot of it or the car is sitting idle. As soon as i tap the clutch (even slightly) it stops.

Phoned my mechanic and he said he is not sure he can do anything as its self adjusted.

1. Is there anything i can do ?

2. Clutch works fine but is it doing any harm ?
