Any ford mechanics out there able to help me? I have a 52 reg T280 transit van. For some reason the temp gauge goes straight up to red and then the engine cuts out to protect itself. As soon as it cuts out, the van is able to be started with the temp gauge back to normal. It then goes for about another minute or two and proceeds to do the same again. All coolant levels etc are perfect. I took the van to the garage and they replaced a heat sensor on the block but it is still doing it. Are there any more sensors? Any help is appreciated.
