Default Partition Problem?

Hi there,

I have been working on a machine to try and create more space on the system partition as it had only a handful of mb left! Anyway I was using a certain partitioning program and merged the extended partition with some un used space from the disk. (Left the system space alone firstly) I did this, just testing really and now the machine wont boot.

All i get is 'Press A Key To Reboot' each time.

I'm not quite sure what has happend, the program still think's all the data is there and I didn't actually do anything with the system / os partition so i'm not quite sure why the o/s is refusing to load (It seem's to think the primary partiton cannot be found?)

Any idea's what I can do to get it to boot again? - I've booted to dos and cannot see the C: drive at all, and no I can't boot to safe mode either

Any thought's?

Thanks
