right, ive had my year out this year and feel like im properly wasting my life! decided to go back to college in september and carry on with aerospace engineering that i did for three years before i became a dosser.
basiclly i definatly want to go back and carry on with it, but i dont know to what level. the two course im trying to decide on are the JAR A licence, which is 1 year and the same stuff i did at college so itd be a walk in the park and id get good marks.
the other option is the JAR B licence, which is a two year course and more in depth than what ive done before, so would most likely struggle a bit! and being two years im worried id get bored and drop out or loose interest and fail!!
the difference between the two is the level of responsibily you carry when working, with an A licence, id be able to sign off my own work, whereas B licenced engineers inspect and sign off other peoples work. obviously theres a rather big difference in pay for the two!!
just wondering everyones opinions because i cant decide what to do! itd be worth getting my head down and sticking with the B licence but would be easier and a safer bet to do the A licence. and after all, once ive had a certain ammoutn of experience as an A licenced engineer, i can get the B licence with a few exams!
