Im building a CVH (n/a) at the moment and have noticed a 'quirk' I need you guys to tell me if this is normal or not.

Basically the main bearing shells do not seem to line up! looking down on the engine (sump side up, crank horizontal) the shells are mis aligned by about 2mm.

The crank moves freely despite this.

I have another CVH bottom end (looks like an earlier one) on which this doesnt happen when using the same shells.

Im told by the shop that got me the shells theres only 1 type for 1.6 CVH??

What the phuck? Is this normal?
