So you know the parts i have in my engine, thats clever cos i dont know where some bits are sourced. Mine has bespoked crank, rods , pistons & now Block, No other car will have them so how can you say the bits you are being quoted for are the same as other engine builders. We have just proved that even the Nikaseal Mountune block cant take 850+bhp for long & the new one is a one-off so not cheap.
A engine Specced to run 850bhp as mine , aint cheap dont think competative price, think whos done it & proved it before.
Faced between abc or Martin, not a hard decision surely.

if you actually read the thread you will see that my comparrison is compared with mountune and pj as i have said they quoted alot more than both martin which i have allready said is my best quote and abc. but as you point out with the block issue they cant guarentee me the power and that it will last!! besides i dont wont it to be constant 850bhp i want it to be 800ish with gas.
also im well aware that this kind of spec aint cheap i havent once said that it is all i have said that from the list of things that need to be done to get the power which have been the same almost idetically by the 4 people that i have asked for quotes, was that abc is competetive which i think is good for them!!! i know martin has built his engine which is proven hence why i have discussions with him that im not going to post on here!! abc also now have an engine between 700 and 800 bhp and so far its looking good!! i use them 1 as they are local and 2 because for the sort of specs that my engines are, they get as they have said a guy called joe to build them!!!! do you have any contacts in the formula 1 world??? especially in the engine building department?? if so you will now of joe and also fred anderson!!! these are both very highly respected people in the f1 world, fred actually races an M3 in germany with a home built yb running 930bhp with out gas!!! but he isnt into the modified scene hence why you dont ever hear of his engine!!! your in to the scene and people recognise your car which is great for you but doesnt mean that someone else cant build or have the same power engine as you. and as ive said the basis was on 4 places ive asked for a quote, which happen to envolve 3 very well known places. martin wasthe best quote and his cars have been out there proving what he does which is a fantastic achievment for him and his company. i was pointing out that even with the sort of thing that im after i would consider abc for my work as i know the contacts that he uses for serious engine work.
