It is perfectly legal, there is no law that says you cant. ( BTW for anyone who doesnt realise either, the highway code isnt the law )

Providing you dont swerve in and out of the lanes to do it. If your lane is travelling faster then undertaking is perfectly legal, there is no law that says you cant. What you normally get pulled for is 'dangerous driving' because of swerving out from behind or swerving back in front to do the manouvre. If you dont have to change lanes to do it you're ok
