and may be this is what happend the block flexed too much and broke.
I recon the crank is bent aswell , now looking at the pics of the block
theres no way the crank has suvived it might look ok
until it's tested and put on the balancing machine
i bent a crank by spinning a bearing on number 2 main gernal

I guess then mean starts to flex too much?
As i would have thought even on standard power they would flex a bit.
And the crank certainly would, cranks are big springs really!
