but he said when he restarts the pc its all fine again ... what you have described would all still be on the pc after a restart

Some temp and temp process file will be purged on a shutdown as they might not be needed next time round the PC boots....

I would do a spyware scan as suggested aswell, and also the disk cleanup/defragment that K5SSY mentioned also
