eh?
if it was charging over 14.4 then the alternator is buggered, if it was charging at 12v then i'd say it was a bit low, should be about 13-14v when running ideally.
if it was pushing out like 15v or above then yes it probably would blow the ecu.
might be best to get a uto-electrician to take a look if possible, say you'd like a second opinion or something.
