Absolute Nero Granite Tiles (£200 worth!!!) with Grey Carpet. It is spot on and we simply put Gripper-rod around the edge of the tiles, then the carpet went down. No edging.

We did it purely because we wanted something a little different. Also, we planned to put a Coffee table on the tiled area, but like the look of the tiles so much that the Coffee table sits elsewhere!!
