Right, following on from soneone's post in Gen Discussion, I would like a simple folder protect programme, and all I want it to do is this;

- allow a password to be applied to a specific folder, so that access to that folder cannot be gained unless correct password is entered
- is still visible all the time : I don't want it to be hidden so I have to go search it out.
- remain locked so once you close the folder window, you need to enter password to open it again.

I can't use the standard "make this folder private" function as this PC only has a single user profile.

I have tried half a dozen already downloaded from all over the place and they either;

- hide the folder, which I don't want
- lock it once, but once it is unlocked it stays unlocked (and won't let me lock it again )
- crash my fooking PC and send it on a real go slow

The last one I tried was the best so far but still not what I wanted. It left the folder visible but changed the icon to a STOP sign type icon, and when clicked it said "ACCESS DENIED" but didn't give me the option to enter a password to gain access - I had to go back to the programme interface and disable the password protect.... Annoying!!!!

Anyone know of a purely simple programme (thats free) that does what I want it to do?
