if you want a very good, nicely priced lens, save up for a canon EF 70-200 f4L USM. This is as good as it gets for money/quality. Its still a bit expensive lens, but u can get £70 cash-back from canon, (see www.canonextrapromotion.com for info) if u buy before the end of the year.
