MICHAEL,

The s2 sump should go straight on as the s2 engine has a pipe after the
oil return on the block, if you see a s2 engine with the sump off, you
will see the return from the block then follow it and you can see the approx 10 to 11 mm, pipe im talking about it helps the oil return to the sump better, if you fit a s1 or std cvh sump it hits on the pipe and you
have to make room for the sump to seat against the pipe, i did mine
but you should be able to just fit the s2 sump to a s1, without any problems, compare the two and you will see,
