First of all, my apologies for this very long post.
Due to alot of work to be done I've been absent here for a few weeks but I'm back to stay (I hope).
I've planned everything to come to National Day this year but recently I've run into a shitload of problems with my 2.5year old Mondeo TDCi.
Saturday 1week ago, the engine light came on and I couldn't get any power no more. Called Ford Assistance, they came down, no problem found. Next day driving again, engine light came on, engine stalled, etc... Remember that this is a 2.5year old car which I bought new and only has just topped up 60k miles. Called Ford Assistance again, decided NOT to tow as the car was still driveable (AS IF). In the end, they did tow it to my garage which called me the next day to tell me I had a bill to expect of about £3.5k
What had happened was that the common rail injection diesel pump had eaten itself shattering pieces of metal all over the diesel injection circuit. Now EVERYTHING concerning diesel has to be renewed, ie fuel tank, fuel lines, diesel pump, the complete common rail system, injectors, etc.....
According to my garage, this was all my fault because I had filled her up with bad diesel with water in it which is bollox.

I always fill her up at work because we have our own tank and multiple cars fill up there and they do not have issues.
Now I've searched the internet and I found several website in Germany and Holland where people state that Ford knows that them common rail pumps are bad on Mondeo's from medio 2001 upto medio 2002 and of course my car is one of them.
Several people (even 1 within Ford) have told me that Ford know of this and that they normally pay for the repair bill although in my case, they only want to grant me a reduction of 30% on material costs which still leaves me with a £2.2k repair bill and I'm NOT prepaired to pay for something that Ford knows is going wrong.
Now, what are my options here?
Biggest problem is of course that I need my car back asap as I now only have the Esc Cos to drive and that is also having some troubles with the starter motor.
IF I have to pay for it, then I'm unfortenatly NOT coming to National Day as this is really growing over my head.
