taken from the murex site just scrool down and look at the amperage range for 4mm 135-180 amps..... a inverter will struggle to burn a 4mm as well unless its running on 240 volt and even then the duty cycle will be 3 or 4 mins of welding. we have a couple of cebora sets and there pretty good for 3.2mm and weld all day on 240 volt... if u use 110 then u have to drop a rod size ie 2.5mm

we also found out that running a inverter off a jenny buggers the thing up even if running 240 volts.

ive got a few tickets and been welding since i was 6 .... old man taught me at round oak steel works.
