I've just bought a 2.9 XR4x4 and a 3.9 V8 engine on Ebay and plan to do a 4 wheel drive V8 conversion using the MT75 gearbox, an adaptor plate and one off flywheel to use the Ford starter motor. I have access to a 2.8 flywheel to measure up but need to know if it is compatible with the MT75 box and starter motor? I know 100% that a cossie 4x4 cluch fits the 2.9 flywheel, will it fit the 2.8?
If not does anyone have a 2.9 flywheel nice and cheap?
