Ok i had i look at it today, it puts out just about 13v at 2000rpm into battery when i turn on the heater fans, main beem, window dismister, ect the voltage stars die-ing and drops to 9volts quite quick and continues to drop,

When u switch of the engine the battery continues to drain and slowly drops in voltage untill u disconnect the altonator wiring plug, then the battery slowly starts gaining some charge (like they do)

The ignition warning light stays on when the keys are out off the ignition but won't come on when the igition is switched on and doesn't come on when the engines running either, its sounds to me like the altonator is on its way out but could this also explain the discharge (short circuit), could the altonator be gone in a way that makes it short circuit and drain the battery when the engines stopped. since it was complety dead this morning.
