Havin a spot of bovver with a cossie sapphire i picked up here in italy.

The brakes are none too good.

I am intending to take it to a track day, so was giving it a good test run along a long dual carriageway with several traffic lights. Its about 10k with 5 traffic lights. By the end my brakes had faded completely

The pedal was rock solid, but the brakes were gone. You could smell the brakes and the wheels were hot front and rear.


I was wondering if this quick brake fade is normal on cossies. The brakes are standard, but the engine is boosted to 1.0 bar and modded. ( about 240 bhp. It has a boost switch to push to about 320 bhp ).

I want to use the car for track and road and was wondering on how to fix this.

Have been looking at Tarox G88 discs and pads.


If anyone can confirm my suspicions and recommend a solution ( apart from drive slowly ) I would be greatful.
