Dont ever attempt a Topspeed run Phil you wont get to the end. Even the best oil needs changing every 1500miles in my car even on the street or we risk the engine.
Its the engine we are trying to protect not finding out how long you can leave the oil in place before its not protecting your bearings.
Can i suggest Mark knows what hes doing & you aint got a clue.
Todate we have completed 17 timed Topspeed runs including the 7 fastest ever by a Cosworth & we aint dropped an engine yet. We change the oil before & after every Topspeed run, I wonder why.
