andy can you explain why it won last ????

take a semi synthetic oil and place it in a normally modded cossie and see what happens,,,,,,,,,,,,,, FOOK ALL, it just looses its life sooner !!!!, due to heat thats all

andy just cause you dont agree with what i say dont mean i talk shit, most people change oil too early

infact take my cabrio for example, ive NEVER changed the oil in it for over 18 months and 35k miles, i dont exactly look after it, just done the gearbox a few weeks ago due to all my abusive driving


apart from the noisy lifters ( that where like that when i bought it too ) the engine runs fine


oh and lets not talk about my cossie that i drove to southend, ragged the pants out of it trying donuts ect to test the diff and drove home due, was knocking, discovered it was OUT of oil , didnt reg on the dipstick !!!!!, slapped oil in and the knocking stopped( well was back to how it sounded anyway


took the engine apart and the bearings are fine, was taken apart as the running of no oil was assumed for the recent knock in the engine was down to fooked little ends


they are fine, i bent 3 rods hence the noise


so the oil thing is just to ease peoples minds


infact ive got a mate that uses semi synth and always has done in his car and i have always said he will kill his car,,,,,,,,,,,,, my cars having a engine and his has engine has just gone in the 5th car hes owned, the car engine is out living his cars


so if ya use semi synth and change every 1000 miles then i really cant see the difference in a normal road car
