I think u're looking in totally the wrong area glen, I very much doubt its anything to do with the throttle.
Perhaps you could be more specific about the problem but first thing that comes to mind is air charge temperatures. When its freezing cold out side (early mornings are best) u're car will feel heaps quicker!
