Throttle Pedal.
My Throttle seems hesitant 98% of the time of driving. There has been 2% of the time where its been sweet as a note and pulls so much better as getting better throttle response.
What could this be, Would it just simple be the cable or the pedal itself, I wd40 the pedal joint to free it up from any stiffness (if any) but hasnt solved anything.
any ideas anyone?

I think u're looking in totally the wrong area glen, I very much doubt its anything to do with the throttle.
Perhaps you could be more specific about the problem but first thing that comes to mind is air charge temperatures. When its freezing cold out side (early mornings are best) u're car will feel heaps quicker!

I going to change the throttle cable, but was just seeing if anyone else had a similar problem. Its definatly something to do with the peddle, it seems stiff most of time and hestant to go down. hence when its free as a bird, i get better throttle response...

I think i understand what you mean Glen, i think.....
Sometimes the throttle pedal can feel quite light and easy to plant, in this case the car seems to go much better than if the pedal seems slightly heavier, more hesitant rather than slower. Not noticed this on my Cossie but did on a few Vauxhall turbos i've had, was never ever resolved unfortunately

have you disconnected the cable at the throttle end and tried it? are you sure its not the throttle body or t/p sensor sticking? also worth checking is the cable at the throttle end to make sure its not fraying, one of mine did this and i just caught it in time, every now and again there would be a clunk when i pressed the throttle by the time i found the cause it was hanging on by one thread of wire!

Cheers Radman, ill try hook the cable off and see how free it is. Then go for the cheeaper part first, i.e the cable.
will take tp sensor off and give it a bit of a blow and wd40 to the contacts as well...

SOLVED..
thought id post this up, as i actually solved this problem with a cost of 0p, yes 0p......lol
my throttle mechanism was a tad rusty, so wd40'd it up and its as free as bird, as it sits right under the vent, water can easily drip on to the mechanism, hence getting rusty. So i might try and get a cover made or modifiy a map sensor cover, as it will be about the same size i reckon....
So if any of you has a sticky throttle pedal.... get the WD40 out.
