Immobiliser problem

Immobiliser problem
I have just bought a 2006 Focus TDci, when I bought it the seller only had one key (the 3 button fob) and the battery in it was dead. I got the car home and changed the battery, went back out to test it and it locked/unlocked the car no problem. I then went to start the car and nothing happened. The immobiliser light is flashing so I'm assuming this is preventing me from starting the car.
I have tried a couple of reprogramming tips (turn the key from 0 to II 4 times and wait for a beep then press a button and wait for another beep) and I still can't start the car.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
Chris

What you have done is programed the remote only, the inmobiliser light is flashing because it cannot read the key, you could of damaged the chip on the key fob causing non start you will require to get someone out and get two keys programmed to vehicle.
