Default rs turbo s2 gearbox

Hi guys just wondering if anyone can Answer this for me I have a ka fitted with 1.7 puma engine and box, my issue is wheels spin coming out of bends on track, does any one know if the lsd unit from an s2 rs turbo escort will fit into the puma gearbox and work with the crown wheel and housing etc I know both are from the ib5 gearbox family but I'm not sure on this
Thanks dec.

IIRC, the S2 LSD is slightly larger in diameter than the puma crown wheel.

I've not put one in a puma box before but I've put an escort lsd into escort & ka ib5 boxes.

The escort one the diff dropped straight onto the crown wheel & job done, the ka crown wheel was slightly smaller so we ended up putting the diff into the lathe & taking a slight skim off the diameter until it dropped into the crown wheel so it's certainly doable if your friendly with any local engineering shops.

Mark.

I think you would be better off getting the LSD on the Lathe as xrmalin suggested as it is only a very small ammount that needs skimming off.

I think the RST gear ratios wouldn't be favourable for an N/A application.
