1.4 cvh not starting, nothing there at all.
Having issues getting my brothers car started, there is just nothing at all when we try and start it,just a click from the ignition and that's it. Checked the connections on the starter and they seem fine,
it was running a few year back but after that it just made a fast clicking noise like a machine gun but not there is nothing, possibly a starter motor fault do you think? it's a 1.4 cvh.

Battery or starter definitely try giving the starter a good clack with a hammer and make sure the battery is fully charged. Sounds like the starter is definitely sticking!

when was last time car ran?
if it has sat for a long while the hydraulic lifters can become soft and wont open the valves.
battery got enough juice to turn engine at right speed as well as give a spark.
check for a spark at plug leads first,
if spark check fuel, is the fuel old?
if so drain and renew.
may need a tow in gear to pressurise the lifters or put it on a starter charger to get them filled with oil.
