I was driving my wife's 1.4 tdci this morning. 70mph in 5th gear, when suddenly it lost a lot of power, and the engine management light started flashing. I pulled over to the hard shoulder. However I then simply turned the engine off and back on again, and It cleared the problem.

It's still running fine now, but obviously I want to find out what caused it to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I checked the dashboard display for dtc codes but it said there were none.

Any ideas anyone?

Same problem this morning with my 1.4tdci ford fusion2. Any ideas if it was fuel contamination or fuel starvation? Same, I switched off and back on and prob disappeared...
